To be honest, it is a struggle to limit my list to just Five reasons why a Reiki massage can get the best results for you.
There are many, many more than just five…
Clients can receive a Reiki treatment on its own, but many people prefer to have Reiki along with a massage treatment.
But what, exactly, is Reiki?
The answer is straightforward:- Reiki is a Japanese technique that reduces stress, increases relaxation and also promotes healing.
It is traditionally given by a simple “laying on of hands” over specific areas of the body and allowing the healing and relaxing energy to flow.
The word “Reiki” is made up of two separate words, “Rei” and “Ki” which translate into “Life Force Energy”.
And so when anyone receives a Reiki treatment they are actually having their own life force energies enhanced and strengthened.
That is why Reiki works so well alongside a massage session.
Only Clients Who Want A Reiki Massage Will Receive It
Now, I don’t give Reiki to anyone without their knowing about it. A Reiki treatment can be given on its own as a Reiki treatment. A Massage treatment can be given on its own as a massage treatment. And a combined Reiki and Massage treatment can be given with massage and Reiki being given at one and the same time.
This means that while muscles are being massaged, Reiki life force energy is simultaneously being passed into the muscles and tissues.
But whether or not this process takes place depends upon what the client wants to happen. And it also depends upon whether or not I think she would benefit from receiving the combination session (this is normally discussed at the preliminary discussion before the treatment begins).
Reasons Why A Reiki Massage Can Help You
Actually there are Five reasons why Reiki massage can get the best results for you:-
- Reiki feels good.
- It works perfectly well alongside all other medical and therapeutic techniques, including massage.
- It is exceptionally relaxing and calms the emotions, thereby bringing peace to the body and the mind.
- Whenever I treat someone with Reiki I receive a “knowingness” of the true requirements of the client.
- Giving Reiki helps me guide the massage treatment along the correct route in order to deal with the main problems that the client is suffering from.
Here are those reasons are in more detail:-
1. Reiki feels good.
The Reiki sensation is difficult to explain properly, but it is typically a feeling of warm glowing comfort, well-being and of being protected from life’s troubles. It really needs to be experienced to be understood.
2. It works perfectly well alongside all other medical and therapeutic techniques.
It works well alongside any treatment being given by a doctor, chiropractor, physio, and massage therapist. It not only enhances any treatment you may already be receiving, but it provides a different dimension of healing which can make the other treatment work better.
3. It is exceptionally relaxing and calms the emotions thereby bringing peace to the body and the mind.
Many people come to massage to de-stress and relax. Reiki helps this happen, but to a deeper level.
4. Whenever I treat someone with Reiki I receive a “knowingness” of the true requirements of the client.
When I pass Reiki healing to the client I create a circuit of healing which helps me read and better understand the body and emotions of the client. This is explained more fully in my other posts.
5. Giving a Reiki massage helps me guide the massage treatment along the correct route in order to deal with the main problems that the client is suffering from.
Because I can get a sense of what is happening – really happening – with the client when I am giving Reiki I can then use this insight to work towards the true cause of the problem, rather than just going off what the client tells me (often, she doesn’t know what the exact problem is). The result of this extra guidance I receive is a massage treatment which is much more effective in achieving the client’s desires and requirements.
